At Private Doctor London in South Kensington, we offer private blood-based allergy testing to help identify possible triggers for symptoms such as sneezing, itchy eyes, rashes, hives and digestive discomfort. Samples are taken at our clinic by trained healthcare professionals and analysed by UKAS-accredited laboratories, and every result is reviewed by a GMC-registered doctor.

You do not need a referral from your NHS GP to book. We will always confirm the full cost of your tests before you book, and results are kept confidential.

Allergens We Can Test For

We offer specific IgE blood tests for individual allergens and combined panels, including:

How It Works

1. Get a quote and book – contact us to discuss your symptoms and the allergens you would like tested. We will confirm the full cost before you book.
2. Sample collection – a blood sample is taken at our South Kensington clinic. A £50 phlebotomy (blood draw) fee applies to individual blood tests.
3. Laboratory analysis – your sample is analysed by a UKAS-accredited laboratory. Most results are returned within 3 to 7 working days, depending on the tests.
4. Doctor-reviewed results – a GMC-registered doctor reviews your results, and we send them to you with a clear explanation and advice on appropriate next steps.

Important Information

• Allergy blood tests measure sensitisation and are interpreted alongside your symptoms; they do not by themselves diagnose or exclude an allergy.
• Our service is diagnostic – we do not provide allergy treatment. If your results suggest an allergy, we will advise you on follow-up with your own GP or an allergy specialist.
• A severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) is a medical emergency: call 999 or go to your nearest A&E. We do not provide emergency care.
